St. Martin's Programs include St. Martin de Porres Shelter and Lazarus Day Center, two distinct programs that serve homeless individuals age 50 and older in downtown Seattle. The programs were established in 1984 and 1990, respectively, and designed to serve the special population of older homeless men and women, who are vulnerable to the weather, young street predators, and illness.
Our services include hot meals, hygiene facilities, clothing room, storage, dedicated housing case management, counseling referrals, and medical respite program. Meals are offered seven days a week. In 2016, St. Martin's Programs served 3,183 individuals providing 87,820 shelter beds, 100,000 days of shelter, 205,752 meals, and additional support services.
St. Martin de Porres Shelter and Lazarus Day Center are programs of Catholic Community Services of Western Washington.
